Black Revisited

“Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me as her body once did.
All five horizons revolved around her soul
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn”

I wake up and smell the sun

I know you are not here, but still pretend to look for your hand

your right hand

“And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds
Of what was everything.
the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything…”

Everything…everywhere…all for you…all in you

The smile, the sudden cloud, the laughter

I live in a dream that I will see you day after

I take a walk outside
I’m surrounded by some kids at play
I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear?
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head
I’m spinning, oh, I’m spinning
How quick the sun can drop away”

Yes, I miss you

I never wanted to post this

felt her like a teardrop on my fingers

she was there yet she was not

her smell lingers

she was there yet she was not

i am mesmerized with her half cooked lies

i face her with my casual smile

i know she thinks i dont understand

but she doesnt know the pain i can withstand

its too easy for you to cry

for once be brave and give life a try

close your eyes and feel it once

your dry heart and your cold soul

you are a pauper but you have it all

you are a sinner but you feel like god

please dont take for granted the life you got

because you might be there but i know you are not
